NaNoWriMo Meme - Tag 1 - 5

Day 1 - Have you participated in NaNoWriMo before?  If so, which years and what end result?  If not, what’s your connection to writing?  Why do you want to participate this year?
This is the first time I participate in NaNoWriMo.
Since I have been to school I had a special fondness for writing. I do not like to talk to other people because they often say I have a strange way to express myself. Sometimes I have the feeling my friends and my famlily cannot follow my thoughts and ideas or I have to explain it over and over again. Instead I keep silent.
While writing I can play with words and nobody thinks I might be lunatic.
I see NaNoWriMo as my personal challenge to complete a whole story and to prove to myself that I can go through a thing without looking for excuses.

Day 2 - What’s the title of your story?  Why did you choose the name you did?
So far the story does not have a real title. I use the working title "Grünblatt" but I do not know why. When I thought about a title it was the first thing that came to my mind. Maybe because I write about elves an the most famous one is Legolas Greenleaf from LOTR (do not like him nor the book that much).

Day 3 - Pick one of your female characters.  Introduce your readers to her, from her point of view and her words only.
Good evening my noble lords and ladies. They call me Hannah and I have lived for 15 years. Together with the other peasants I work in the fields and make sure that the people living in the citiy do not starve. For our work we are rewarded with protection from our noble lords. I am very happy with my life and I hope to get married soon.

Day 4 - What genre is your novel?  Why did you pick it?
I like to write about magical beings, the use of magic and supernatural happenings. My answer therefore is "Fantasy".

Day 5 - Name two songs from your playlist that you feel are connected with your novel in some way, and explain how they are.
"Can't Take It In" by Imogen Heap and "Unicorns Rest" from the Lineage 2 OST.
You might know the first song from the final sequence of the first "Narnia" movie. It moves me deeply everytime I hear it because I also have the feeling not to have enough room for all my emotions. I want to get my characters to know this feeling of being completely overwhelmed.
The second song is from the MMORPG Lineage 2 and is played in the city of the elves. When I played it together with a friend we both had male elves and liked to roleplay all the time. Both characters are the protagonists of my story.
